My God was this a wonderful book I just LOVED it ..... Pamela M Kelley where have you been !!!!!! I got to be honest with you I went to the Kindle store and typed in one word Christmas and you book jumped out at me ... I loved it so much I baught the other book in theNantucket series and I orded the next book to ... I have been to Nantucket island many times , it's a wonderful place but to be honest with you I would have been a cleaning lady to lol you've got to have money to live there ... thanks for a fun day . get this book you'll love it Enjoy ; ) Let me say this was NOT horrible. But let me also say I cannot imagine how there are so many positive reviews. The writing was technically fine. Dialogue was ok. No glaring mistakes. The plot was overly simplistic with NO depth at all. Poor girl inherits big $$$ house from grandmother she never knew she had. No background characters were developed at all. She had no interest beyond the most superficial that you can imagine - no interest in the house, no descriptions, no fun renovations, no seeking out much of ANYTHING about her grandmother!! How could that be? Of course she meets a famous writer living in town - but...of course...she has almost no interest, no chemistry, no fun dialogue - and he is the same. SUDDENLY toward the very end he decides he doesn't want her to leave and so ...she doesn't. End of story. Everything was flat. The ending was rushed, the entire story was trite and let's face it - boring. :-( Save your money please.
